Alan Stevenson - guitar & mandolin

Born and drunk in Gateshead, Al has been a successful Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter for many, many, many years(!) and he has been in several well known North-East bands such as Seven Minutes, The Pleasure Bureau, Pearl and The Prairie Dawgs, The Dixons, The Prodigal Sons, Hard Rain, Mandarin Flask, The Fajeatles, 24/Seven, Dusty Wings & the The Anna Reay Band.

Michael Bailey - Fender bass

Born on the banks of the Tyne, one of Michael's earliest memories involves trying to get to sleep while the people in the flat below played their music really loud. He has no idea what the songs were, but the bass sounded great... and it stuck.

Fast-forward a number of years to a ten-year stint with legendary Northumbrian popsters Morgan Le Fay, a journey which took the band on two tours of the USA and reach the enviable status of 'big in Stanhope'.

Whilst on tour in the US, he took a photograph of the small town of Daggett, California. Upon his return, he showed the photo to Steve Daggett who was so impressed they formed a band on the spot. The Steve Daggett Trio played everywhere from The Isle of Arran to Bahrain. Hundreds of gigs later, the band decided to stop and do other things. No-one can quite remember why - it just seemed like a good idea at the time.

Peter Donegan - son of the Legendary Lonnie - came a-knockin', and so began a three-year whirlwind, touring the UK.

Now The Caffreys, along with The Billy Mitchell Band, The Entire Cosmos, The Negative Feedback Band and occasional gigs with The Junco Partners are all on hand to keep him occupied...
